Meals

Do my meals require preparation?


We do all the prepping for you and deliver healthy, delicious, fully cooked meals to your door. All you need is a pot and boiling water! Your meals are cooked to perfection in our fully licensed and food safe kitchen, located in downtown Fort Wayne, IN. Each meal is then quickly cooled, vacuum-sealed in pouches and shipped chilled on ice to you. All you have to do is re-heat in boiling water for the designated time on each pouch.




Is the plastic packaging safe?


Absolutely! We use the same packaging technique as our sister company Empyrean Events and Catering uses in their “sous-vide” style of cuisine. These pouches are 100% food-safe, BPA-free, Plasticizer-free, Phthalate-free and do not leach chemicals of any kind into your food. They ensure the highest quality, most flavorful meal possible.

Delivery

What do I get in my delivery?


Dinnerlux offers meals that on average feature three parts- a protein, a vegetable, and a starch. These are delivered in vacuum-sealed pouches to lock in nutrition and freshness. We also include ice packs, all shipped in an insulated box to ensure your food stays cold and fresh.




Can I choose my delivery date?


Not yet. The delivery day is based on your zip code and will either be delivered on Tuesday or Wednesday (pending carrier delays & major holidays). If you have a question when or if we deliver to your zip code, email info@dinnerlux.com.




How do I keep my meals fresh?


We pack our deliveries in a certified, inspected facility, and we ship our products weekly with plenty of ice packs and a specially designed shipping box that keeps the cold in. If you receive a meal from Dinnerlux that is not cold and fresh, please snap a photo and send us information on the delivery immediately to support@realeats.com and we will work one on one to replace your meal kits.




When will my meals arrive?


Your meals will arrive fresh on either Tuesday or Wednesday in an insulated shipping box accompanied by ice packs to keep your food cold while in transit. Check your email for order details and updates! You will be able to track your package so you know exactly when it will arrive.




Receiving your meal kits...


We pack our boxes with enough ice packs to keep the food cold throughout transit, but please get the meals into the fridge or cooler as soon as possible. Even if delivery is delivered while you are away from your house, the ice packs should keep the food cool. If you receive your box and something looks off, contact support@realeats.com immediately upon receiving your box.




What should I do if my delivery is late?


Most of the time, your package will arrive as planned. Sometimes our carrier doesn't make it on time, which is as frustrating for us as it is for you. If your package is late, please check your email for any communication from us regarding an issue. If we haven't already emailed you, contact us at support@realeats.com or 260.444.4688.




Shipped Address Disclaimer


You will receive an email with your delivery information so you can track your package. We do our best to get your box there as scheduled, but sometimes the shipper experiences delays. We track all our shipments and try to notify you if we anticipate any type of delay. Please make sure your shipping address is a location that can easily accept deliveries.





Subscriptions & Signing Up

How do I sign up?


Dinnerlux offers different meal plans that allow you to choose how many meals you would like to enjoy each week. Each meal kit is designed for two people so you can select a plan that works best for you. Choose your plan, process your subscription, and select your meals. You can then access your account, plan your upcoming deliveries and manage your subscription by logging back in at your discretion




Is there a minimum plan for Dinnerlux?


Our minimum plan is the 2-meal plan, delivered once weekly. You can also change your plan at any time. If you have any trouble, simply contact the customer experience team support@dinnerlux.com




Does Dinnerlux have a membership fee?


No! Simply sign up, and we’ll start sending fresh meals to you each week, it's that easy.




Is there a minimum subsription period for Dinnerlux?


No, there is no minimum subscription period. Going on vacation? No worries, you can skip, pause, or cancel your subscription at any time. You can even plan to skip multiple order weeks in advance. Please be sure to login to your account page to skip or cancel before Wednesday at 5:00pm, or you will be charged for your next order. Questions, reach out to support@dinnerlux.com.




I signed up, now what happens?


Once you've processed your subcription you are off to the fun part...selecting your meals! Be sure to log into your account by 5:00pm EST on Wednesday of each week to select your following week's meals. Your order will be processed on your credit card every Thursday & will leave our kitchen every Monday. You can skip, pause, or cancel at any time.




Does my card get charged if I skip a week?


Your credit card will not be charged if you skip before Wednesday at 5:00pm. We’ll send you an email to remind you to choose your meals or skip in advance of this deadline each week. All changes to your orders need to be made by end of day Wednesday for the following week’s delivery. If you forgot, contact support@dinnerlux.com and we’ll do our best to adjust the order. We try to be as flexible as possible with late cancels and order changes, but by Monday, boxes are packed and ready for delivery so you’ll be responsible for paying for any charges relating to an order processed after this time.




Will my subcription renew automatically?


Yes, we’ll continue to deliver your weekly meals if you don’t skip, pause, or cancel which you can do at any time. All changes to your orders need to be made by end of day Wednesday for the following week’s delivery. If you forgot, contact support@dinnerlux.com and we’ll do our best to adjust the order.




Can I buy a subscription as a gift?


Absolutely! We suggest you order the appropriate plan and modify the shipping address to the person you wish to gift this to. Depending on how long you want to gift the order, just cancel the subscription at the end of the gift period. If you are having problems setting it up, contact support@dinnerlux.com or call us at 260.444.4688, and we’ll help you out.
