Meals

Can I choose or customize my meals?


Absolutely, this is our special sauce! Just remember to log into your account and select your meals by 5:00pm on Wednesday. We offer a variety of meal selections every week for you to choose from. The three feature dishes change weekly while all others rotate less frequently. We make sure to have seasonal options available for everyone while keeping some favorites around a little longer. You will always have the option to send dietary notes our way for a custom meal created just for you!




How many services is one meal kit?


All our meal kits are designed to serve two adults.




I didn't receive the meals I wanted!


Uh oh! The first thing to check is if you updated your orders by end of day on Wednesday in your account. If you forget to make your selection or need help, you can contact our customer experience and we will do everything we can to make sure your order is updated to the meals you would like. Although we try and be as flexible as possible, we’re unable to give refunds for meals that are packed and shipped.




Can I return my meals if I don't like them?


As our food is cooked to order and made fresh, we can’t accept returns or issue refunds for personal taste preferences. While rare, mistakes do happen so if there are problems with your order, contact us and we’ll work something out. We do take quality very seriously, and we want your experience to be as easy and delicious as possible.




How long do my meals stay fresh?


You can store in the refrigerator for up to 7 days. Our meals never arrive frozen and will have a best by date on the individual packages!




Can I freeze my meals?


You sure can; however; rememebr our meals are designed to be eaten fresh by the best by date date on the pouches. If don’t get to them in time, you can freeze your meals. We cannot offer directions for reheating meals that have been frozen.




Can I microwave my meals?


Absolutely! Our meals taste best when you use boiling water to warm them up, but you can also use the microwave. Just remember to remove the plastic packaging prior to warming in the microwave.

What is Dinnerlux?


Dinnerlux is a weekly meal kit subscription that provides you with healthy, fresh meals you can effortlessly enjoy at home. Each week, we deliver an insulated box to your door that contains meals created in from the same quality food-safe pouches used by our sister company Empyrean Events and Catering, a high-end catering and events company. The “sous-vide” style of cooking ensures your meal is as flavorful and delicous as possible. Simply bring a large pot of water to a gentle simmer, place pouches in the water and heat based on the time indicated on each menu item (generally 6 minutes for proteins and 3 minutes for sides, cold items are ready to eat right out of the bag). You can also microwave your meals by removing them from the pouches first.

Delivery

What do I get in my delivery?


Dinnerlux offers meals that on average feature three parts- a protein, a vegetable, and a starch. These are delivered in vacuum-sealed pouches to lock in nutrition and freshness. We also include ice packs, all shipped in an insulated box to ensure your food stays cold and fresh.




Can I choose my delivery date?


Not yet. The delivery day is based on your zip code and will either be delivered on Tuesday or Wednesday (pending carrier delays & major holidays). If you have a question when or if we deliver to your zip code, email info@dinnerlux.com.




How do I keep my meals fresh?


We pack our deliveries in a certified, inspected facility, and we ship our products weekly with plenty of ice packs and a specially designed shipping box that keeps the cold in. If you receive a meal from Dinnerlux that is not cold and fresh, please snap a photo and send us information on the delivery immediately to support@realeats.com and we will work one on one to replace your meal kits.




When will my meals arrive?


Your meals will arrive fresh on either Tuesday or Wednesday in an insulated shipping box accompanied by ice packs to keep your food cold while in transit. Check your email for order details and updates! You will be able to track your package so you know exactly when it will arrive.




Receiving your meal kits...


We pack our boxes with enough ice packs to keep the food cold throughout transit, but please get the meals into the fridge or cooler as soon as possible. Even if delivery is delivered while you are away from your house, the ice packs should keep the food cool. If you receive your box and something looks off, contact support@realeats.com immediately upon receiving your box.




What should I do if my delivery is late?


Most of the time, your package will arrive as planned. Sometimes our carrier doesn't make it on time, which is as frustrating for us as it is for you. If your package is late, please check your email for any communication from us regarding an issue. If we haven't already emailed you, contact us at support@realeats.com or 260.444.4688.




Shipped Address Disclaimer


You will receive an email with your delivery information so you can track your package. We do our best to get your box there as scheduled, but sometimes the shipper experiences delays. We track all our shipments and try to notify you if we anticipate any type of delay. Please make sure your shipping address is a location that can easily accept deliveries.
